More than 300 participants from all over the world attended our Packaging Day in the Print Media Center Packaging in Wiesloch on November 7 and 8, 2018. 25 nations were represented, from Japan to South America, from the Middle East to Europe. A group of international trade journalists was also present.
The Packaging Day provided visitors with a platform to gain new inspiration and approaches for their current and future business models – helping to ensure their economic success. Under the motto “Think Digital Think Business”, three workflows of packaging business models were presented:
- Seamless integration of digital and offset printing from print data to finishing.
- Smart packaging production with all optimization potentials along the entire value chain.
- The production of high-end products with special applications, produced in a single pass on customized machines.
The program was enhanced by pre-bookable additional offers for on-site registration in the eShop and Heidelberg Assistant as well as presentations of the subscription model and the web-to-box solution demonstrated on the Primefire 106.
At the end of the event, a guided tour of the plant showed visitors Heidelberg’s leading role in precision mechanical engineering.
