How to attend when you’re not there: Facebook live at the Digital Print Forum

The digital transformation offers opportunities to open up new paths. “When the wind of change blows, some build walls, others build windmills.” This Chinese proverb illustrates the change process Heidelberg is embarking on and the opportunities available to our customers. Our mission, as we see it, is to advise, inform and accompany our customers in their digital transformation.

On March 21, 2019, Heidelberg is welcoming customers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to the Heidelberg Digital Print Forum – a special event taking place at our Print Media Center, offering a platform for discussion on the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation. The day’s program includes presentations focusing on the digital transformation in the print media industry and the opportunities it offers our customers, as well as on new business models. During the marketplace session, visitors will be offered an opportunity to engage in one-to-one discussions with Heidelberg experts and exchange ideas with partner companies POLAR, Kurz, Antalis, BNP, Color-Logic and PrintXMedia Süd.

Social Media and Event Marketing: a power team

Customers who were unable to attend will be given an insight into the Heidelberg Digital Print Forum via facebook live. The broadcast will feature a tour of the marketplace and the show lab, and outline what visitors can expect in the various presentations.

“We’ve been doing Facebook live sessions with quite a lot of success since the platform was launched in early 2016,” says Martina Heinen, Social Media Manager at HDU.  “Live videos are a great way to give our customers an exclusive insight into our products and solutions, wherever they are.  And thanks to our follower base of 20,000, we can significantly extend the reach of the event.”
